I am a trustee of  Home4U Cardiff, a Charitable Incorporated Organization, which aims to provide a temporary solution for persons who are seeking asylum and have become destitute.

 

The provision is usually for an initial three month period, renewable for a further three months if the person is complying with the Home4U Agreement, there is still no alternative possibility for accommodation and they have a reasonable hope of a longer term solution at the end of six months.

The project is currently able to provide accommodation for up to nine people, giving them the dignity and safety of a home for a short period of time. It may be a small step but it makes a huge difference to the lives of those individuals.

In 2015, Home4U Cardiff was granted Charitable Incorporated Organization status. Our registered charity number is 1163936.

We have been fortunate to obtain some grants and support from housing associations, but still need to raise money to keep the project going.
