BEHIND THE LENS
It’s all my uncle’s fault! He was a keen photographer himself and when I was about 8 he presented me with his old Kodak Box Brownie camera (much to my parent's dismay as they realised who would be paying for the film etc.)
I’ve still got it, though I have moved on a little in terms of equipment.
By the time I was in my early 20’s I had worked my way up to two Olympus SLRs and decided that I ought to learn to use them better. A couple of years of adult leisure classes gave me a good grounding in composition and black & white printing but I didn’t have a good purpose behind my photography and I was accumulating boxes of slides and prints that no-one else ever saw.
Cardiff Camera Club and I went along to try them out. They were all pretty welcoming to a newcomer and happy to chat and give advice. I joined up a week or so later and, 40 years on, I’m still there! Then someone told me about the

I am interested in all types of photography but one of my main ‘things’ is to look for different viewpoints and angles on subjects. I am also a keen ‘PhotoShopper’ and love learning and sharing different techniques.
March 2013,I gained my A-FIAP distinction for 30 acceptances into international salons.
